The information collected by the campaign is used to help us make sure that we’re reaching our audience of 13 to 30 year olds in the UK. It will also help us to make a compelling case to politicians that your demands are truly reflective of young people. We also want to keep you posted about how this campaign evolves, and we can’t do that without having a way to contact you. We will not share your contact details with any third parties without your explicit permission. We may use anonymised data about you and others involved with the campaign in the ways that we describe in these Terms of Use.
We will add your email to a mailing list that you can unsubscribe from at any time by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of the email. We will only ever send you emails from the Undivided campaign, and will never pass on your email to other organisations except to our contractors who are helping us manage the campaign (see below).
When you use Undivided we collect statistics about your visit. We collect information about you in two ways: automatically and through information you provide:
We automatically capture information about your IP Address, operating system, screen display settings, browser type. We may approximate your location from your device using a combination of your IP address and other data we collect such as your wifi connection. We collect statistics about your visit to our app or website (also see our cookie policy).
We collect personal information you provide when you submit a demand or contact us. We collect information that you provide when you communicate with us by any means – such as Twitter and Facebook.
We will store your data in a secure way. We will never, without your consent publish your data in a way that would identify you individually. We will only ever use your data to show overall trends in the campaign. We will never sell your data. We will only ever allow campaign team members and our partner contractors to access our data.
As part of this campaign, we are proud to be partnering with youth organisations who are set up to give young people a voice. Please see our Partners here. Once the campaign is over, we will share the generalised data collected by the campaign with our carefully selected partners (e.g. anonymised information about the ages of those that participate, the region in which participants live, and the issues they are concerned about) , but we will not share your email address or name or other personal information unless you explicitly give us permission to do so.

Information shared by us: We may disclose collected information about users of Undivided with contractors who help us in providing support services including supporting Undivided, with analysing data, managing and fulfilling requests or enquiries from our users, supporting content management systems, communicating with users and in performing other tasks from time to time.
Our contractors will only use your information on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions, and only where that is necessary to perform their functions and subject to security measures and obligations in accordance with applicable law.

All such requests are assessed and we will challenge the basis of the request if it is not made by an officer with proper authority, the request lacks a proper statutory basis or appears too broad or vague as to its scope or purpose.
We retain your personal information as long as is necessary and relevant for the Undivided campaign to achieve its goal.
Our servers are based in the EU. However, we use third party services, such as for emailing, which may mean that your data could be transferred outside the EEA.
In operating our website it may become necessary to transfer data that we collect from you to locations outside of the European Union for processing and storing. By providing your personal data to us, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.
